Today's new term in transportation shall be a term commonly used during movement of freight both in ship and logistics.
The term is called DUNNAGE!

 Guess what a dunnage is used for?

Dunnage are materials used for preserving goods.
It is used to protect goods from moisture,contamination, and mechanical damage which can be due to shifts,shocks caused by the sudden movements of the ship.

 It is air filled and placed in between goods when they are being loaded in the container. It uses is not limited to shipping alone, it can be used in logistics.

We discussed recently about port. Today we shall discuss the major port sub system These subsystem are what works together to make a port carry our its activities effectively and efficiently. MAJOR NAVIGATIONAL PORT SUBSYSTEM We have, Navigational Aid Subsystem:  These are equipments that enables safe arrival and exit of vessels from the port. They are placed along coasts to mark safe and danger zone and enables Mariners in determining their position. It makes Mariners to be aware of dangers both on land and on sea.
