WHAT ARE NAVIGATIONAL AID SUBSYSTEM?
Navigational aid subsystem also known as aid to navigation(ATON) are used to assist mariners in determining safe position in relationship to land and hidden dangers. They are placed along water as guides to mark safe water area.
Unlike roads, rails which has passage for its means to pass, water doesn't have this, except with the help of aids to navigation (ATON).
Examples of aids to navigation include buoys, light house,radio beacons, fog signal etc
We shall take some of these system one after the other because our aim of doing this is for us to have depth knowledge of it.
